The Grendel Hunter BCG: Precision-Tuned Reliability

  • Optimized Extractor Tension: Excessive tension is a leading cause of malfunctions and extractor failure. We are meticulous about our extractor tension being at the “sweet spot”—ensuring reliable cycling without putting unnecessary stress on the steel.

  • Radiused Extractor Geometry: We avoid the “sharp fangs” found on most extractors. By having smooth corners on the extractor claw, we prevent the steel from digging into the brass case rim, ensuring the ejector can “kick” the brass out at the exact right microsecond for a clean ejection cycle.

  • Built to Last: Our bolts are machined from 9310 Steel, shot-peened for fatigue resistance, and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI).

  • The Process: Next-level Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD)

  • The Benefit: High hardness, Excellent abrasive wear resistance, Low thermal conductivity, Ultra-Low friction level.

P51+ High Polish Black

  • The Benefit: The same attributes of our DLC, but it receives extra polishing cycles to give it an EXTREMELY smooth and deep, black finish.

Finishes

Black Nitride – The nitriding process involves a salt (chemical) bath which provides corrosion resistance and hardens the surface of the steel (~740 HV). This thermo chemical treatment gives you a far more durable and smoother finish than the original Mil-Spec magnesium phosphate.
Nickel Boron – The UCT EXO® NiB has a higher boron content than any other commercially available nickel boron which provides this BCG with an extremely hard (~1800 HV), durable finish. It is very smooth with a low friction coefficient.
Diamond Like Carbon – This DLC hybrid is a next level coating that is even harder (~2300 HV) than nitride or nickel boron. It is smooth, easy to clean and has a deep, dark gray color.
P51+ High Polish Black – This has all the same attributes of our DLC hybrid, but it receives extra polishing cycles to give it an EXTREMELY smooth and deep, black finish. It is even harder (~2300 HV) than nitride or nickel boron.

    These guys are great im a iraq combat fallujah veteran I spoke to them I feel lucky I snagged one of these while they had it and they aren’t price gouging people amazing veteran owned company im building a 18 inch grendel upper this was just what I needed just waiting on the scope (= beautiful uppers made in the USA you know you are getting quality with these folks I also bought a extra grendel bolt which I recommend everyone does in case you’re other one fails or it’s a cheap way to convert a regular bcg onto a grendel bcg thsnks guys!
