AR-15 MLOK Grendel Hunter Handguard
Grendel Hunter handguards are lightweight, ergonomic and rugged. Whether you’re beginning a new build or replacing your current handguard, these are an excellent free floating option. They have MLOK slots along both sides and the bottom which allow you to mount what you want, where you want it. They also feature a top/forward 1913 Picatinny rail section for use with backup iron sights. The patented locking system makes for simple installation and a rock solid platform. The hardware interfaces with the barrel nut to prevent the handguard from walking forward. Unless the hardware is completely removed, it cannot slide off the barrel. Because of the design, no shims, over torqueing or timing of the barrel nut are required. Made in America, by Americans with American metal.

5 years in the making and the handguard is the icing on the cake! 1000 rounds in, no issues! The 19” handguard allows for the bipod to sit far out near the end of the barrel. The Christensen Arms barrel is a 20” carbon fiber wrapped MSR barrel, .223 Wylde with mid length gas system. The handguard fit perfectly over the standard low profile gas block. The California compliant muzzle device and its shape that matches the handguard, fit on the barrel’s 1/2″ x 28 TPI threaded muzzle. It mated right up with the mill spec San Tan Tactical STT-15 PILLAR billet receiver. A handguard in this length is hard to find. Another thing I like about this model, this free floating handguard with little M-Lock on the top rail reduces weight and the possibility of snagging on branches, straps, slings, etc.. as far as looks go, I’m more about utility. The handguard and muzzle combo with matching quadrilateral shape do turn heads and people ask, “what you got there?”
